I just received this from the KFC Colonel Club!

You might find this very interesting!

Ellsworth

For more than 60 years, the image of Colonel Harland Sanders has represented Kentucky Fried Chicken. Now, along with online partner MySpace, KFC is embarking on a worldwide search to identify the new face of Kentucky Grilled Chicken (KGC).
Are you the ultimate KGC fan? Whether it’s an uncanny resemblance to the Colonel, the ability to create a sculpture made of Kentucky Grilled Chicken buckets, or a story about what KGC means to you, fans can submit their videos through July 7 at

Three finalists will be selected and MySpace members will vote on the winner, who will receive Kentucky Grilled Chicken for life – valued at more than $13,000! In addition, the winner might even have the opportunity to participate in KGC marketing activities. Good luck, all you wannabe Colonels!

My, my... Those Corporate mongrels really have abandoned the Colonel and his secret recipe for good.

KFC Corp is clearly "repositioning" itself and it's "old fried image" in order to absorb future profits... I can see a time when the Colonel's face will be gone completely, and no longer will they reference the "once famous" 11 Herbs and Spices...

Colonel Sanders' heritage is truly dying...

Which is where WE come in! Very Happy

We can be the Templars or the Crusaders for Colonel Sanders...

Each one of us will take an oath of alliance and pursue his Secret Recipe
till the end...

Ellsworth, I think being an O.R. Templar is someone I'd like to be.

You hit the nail on the head, my friend.

It is up to us to protect the Secret Recipe.

I will determine the O.R. and then I will protect it; just like a Templar.

You never know... we may have to resort to the that...
if KFC continues to make mistakes in their decision making processes...

Who would follow KFC Grilled Chicken anyway? It wasn't created by
the founding father Col. Sanders...
only the Original Recipe Secret Recipe was Colonel Sanders greatest
achievement.

May call it the Kentucky Fried Chicken Templars for the 21st Century...

If we don't create and join some kind of Society then the memories of
Colonel Sanders will be forgotten for good for future generations...
and that is not what the Colonel Sanders wanted to do... to be forgotten.
His work is just too important.

Just a thought in humble opinion.

KFC is going down by its own hand that's for sure... but if we crack the code, and spread it to the world, then I guess it really WILL be the end for them.

But with the way they disrespect the Colonel's memory by changing his once awesome O.R, and the way they continually introduce new products in his name (something which he absolutely hated!)... I find it hard to feel sorry for them.

Getting the recipe, of course, would be top priority as always...
without a workable recipe... we won't have the leverage
to bargain with... but we are closing in by george!

I was thinking along the lines of all the written articles, photos,
personal stories, cooking methods, recipes, folklore, patents, etc...
that must be preserved for future generations...
about the man that created this whole thing to begin with.
Not to mention his passions for good cooking.

He was 65 years old when he was peddling for business and
at the age of 74... sold his company... well... you know the history...
He just got better as he got older. That's rare indeed!

Perhaps, a club, society or something would be in order to
maintain the intergrity of Colonel Sanders...

Just a thought.

It was just a thought... something to unite everyone into
a Club like Colonel's Club...

United We Stand...

I feel that we must act now before it's too late...

I don't trust KFC anymore... they are very clever! More so than I ever thought!

I know what you mean...

To understand them though: In your mind's eye, just put "profit" at any cost, in position first, second and third in your list of priorities, and then you'll know why they do, what they do. Wink

Colonel Sanders NEVER put money before quality or customer service...

He always said, Quality, Service, Cleanliness and (the one which KFC now conveniently leaves out) Value... Profit (for the sake of itself) didn't even come into it.

Colonel,

Speaking about profits, did you see this subliminal message in a KFC commerical a while back?

Yes Dustin... those cheeky buggas! I wouldn't put anything past KFC Corp in this day and age... I mean, I can read between the lines of their new KGC campaign "in search of a new icon"... I have no doubt they are preparing for a time when they will DUMP Colonel Sanders' image from their products. And all in the name of profit. If they think some super sleak "cool" looking "youngster" will sell more chicken than Colonel Sanders, then they'll dump the "old man" as quick as you can blink.

But then, they've already dumped his recipe, so it is just a matter of time when you think about it...

And Brodie: You said it pal! That recipe is ours!!! We are so close! You should smell my kitchen cupboards, where I store my spices! I open it, and I swear, I smell the O.R of old! It's beautiful mate! Smile

2009 is the year! I'm sure of it!
