Because they're not stupid and realize people know they've been deprived of their favorite food I remain unconvinced of the validity of the vials and the whole thing smells of a publicity stunt. While I do not rule out their possible validity, I would hardly trust that laughing man with his secrets to put the 11 on display for all the world to see except as a diverting distraction and as propaganda intended to confuse and to cover up the fact that they've changed the recipe. If it's a deliberate deception (and I wouldn't put it past them to do something like that) then we all fell for it -- hook, line and sinker!

Jbishop,

Nice for you to join us after the mission has neared its end? In any event if you have payed attention to anything that has been written you would know your query has been answered with logic, and not something that we just a thought with zero evidence. Remember the vials cannot be taken together as evidence as it were in a vacuum. You have to take the totality of the evidence at hand.

Dustin

I think all of you Einsteins have missed the point. Without committing to the proposition that the vials "equal the original recipe", there is no injustice in contemplating exactly what is in those vials, as surely something is. No wonder you researchers have scattered to the winds. Short sightedness. You (plural) disregard the purpose of presenting those vials to the public, and discount them to the point of causing personal vendettas against each other. You huddle under the umbrella of "no stone left unturned" while pursuing your own personal agendas. My most recent, and last, recipe is directly on point. You naysayers won't get it, even if it harelips the Pope.

smallgree,

I sincerely respect your observations and opinion. I understand your frustration and your post seems a little angry to me... Yes, there have been and will always be those pretentious "naysayers" - some have been and continue to be very aggressive and aggravating. I may not always agree with their research, propositions or posts, but I respect their opinions and point of view.

I don't consider myself an Einstein and I haven't scattered to the winds - I've been a member here since 2006. It's obvious that I have only posted 8 times over the years - including this post. Why? I don't know why... Does it really matter?

The Colonel's Kitchen is a unique and exceptional site and I have always considered being a member here a distinctive privilege.

The Colonel has earned and deserves our respect. I didn't post this message to gain personal kudos or prestige with The Colonel. I posted this message because I have an opinion and I hope you will honor that.

I have experimented with my recipes long before these forums existed. I still have my first KFC recipe attempt stored in a bottle, from the 1980's, sometime. The internet, for me, has opened this research considerably. There has been great animosity expressed throughout the years on all of these forums (there are four that I know of), for whatever reason, I don't know. Some have acted like they are entitled to extraordinary opinions or treatment because they were "original members" of this forum or that forum. I am apolitical, and a Christian anarchist. I don't play politics. I only want the recipe, among others I have researched. When that animosity is aimed at myself, I respond. Nothing personal, but if the shoe doesn't fit, don't wear it.
