Whilst taking my dogs out recently in the very icy weather I slipped and fell flat on my back, knocking my head on the rock hard compacted snow that spreaded the road. I realise now that I had suffered concussion and that was how I came to create the marvellous new dip/wash for my KFC chicken.

I returned home and and let the dogs back into their rabbit hutch, releasing the rabbit to chomp on my recently-made snowman's carrot nose, using step-ladders as a platform for the furry creature. After realising that something was not quite right I let the dogs back into the house and put the rabbit back into it's hutch before my wife returned home and discovered my aberration (the carrot I could not replace because we had no more - I used a parsnip and a orange felt-tipped pen instead - which my wife later discovered laughing nervously as I explained).

Then I set about making a batch of KFC chicken (using 99-x). I was seeing double at this point so mixed two eggs with three quarters of a cup of milk. I had recently bought a hand blender and was blending everything from soup to roast chicken so decided to use it to blend the mixture. After double-dipping the chicken, and letting the dipped chicken stand for minimal time before deep frying I cooked the most-wonderful chicken with such a light and crispy coating. I could easily adapt that for deep fried fish.

Anyhow I am a little better now but I am not sure what I am doing in my neighbour's house, hoovering - try the dip/wash for a change to usual- it's bloomin' luverly!

Spadge.

The Milk and Egg wash served a duel purpose, 1) Stickiness for the flour to adhere too, and 2) Color.
